Ministry of Music
Louise Wheeler

I am Louise Wheeler from Osceola, NE.  I was raised in this area and lived here until I went to Luther College in Wahoo, NE, and got married.  Then my husband and I lived in several different locations before coming back here to raise our family in 1973.  We have three sons, one daughter, seven grandsons, and five granddaughters.  We have been blessed to have my parents and siblings and families living close here.  It has made a wonderful loving environment for us all to bring up children.  I was baptized, confirmed, and we were married here at St. Paul Lutheran.  The music ministry here has always been a focus for me.  I was in Junior Choir as a child and then Senior Choir after confirmation.  When we moved back I was asked to take over the organist duties and a few years later to direct the choir.  The music ministry at St. Paul’s has been a strong tradition for generations.  My parents sang in the choir as young people.  I believe strongly that music is a powerful gift from God.  It ministers to people, comforts them, encourages them, and stays in their memories.   I believe that God will bless our efforts to worship Him when we “come to Him in Spirit and in truth.”
